Incredible cupcakes! I can’t wait to order more! Highly recommend this bakery 🧁 Posting an update: Brown Butter Creations did an incredible job with our wedding cake! They were so easy to work with and took into consideration all of my requests. We ordered a fairly simple, single tiered coconut cake and it was absolutely delicious! My husband stopped in to see if they would be able to make individual molten lava cakes for my birthday as I was looking for something other than a cake or cupcakes this year. They advised it wasn’t part of their normal offerings but would try it out and make it happen. They were so accommodating to this very specific request and even gave him their pan to use as they couldn’t be baked ahead of schedule to achieve the gooey chocolate center. Hand written instructions were given and they came out exactly how I had hoped. The chocolate molten lava cakes were decadent and delicious and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with them. We have gotten cupcakes and other treats from them before which were enjoyed. These molten lava cakes were a clear indication that Brown Butter will go above and beyond, if able. On the first Thursday of every month, I bring treats to my office from a local bakery. This month I found Brown Butter Creations in Glastonbury and ordered a dozen cupcakes and a dozen cookie bars. The office raved about them! I tried the s’mores cookie bar and it was absolutely dreamy — more like a cross between a cookie, pie, and cheesecake with delicious marshmallow and chocolate. Ordering was easy and the treats were outstanding. I highly recommend this bakery.
AMAZING. I saw a cake BBC made for a friend’s party, and it was so incredible and so delicious that I ordered the cake for my husband’s toga-themed birthday party from here. When the owner asked what I wanted, I told her to use her own creation, and I’m so glad I did. The cake was a true masterpiece with fig leaves, columns, frosting made to look like stone, and she even put his name on a plaque. It was a feast for the eyes, and all of our guests oohed and ahhed when they saw it. And it was DELICIOUS. I never saw a cake get devoured so quickly. There wasn’t a crumb left. This place will be our go-to for all of our occasions from now on. Simply amazing.
I wanted a cake for my 50th birthday party as special as the milestone was for me. There is no one I would have trusted this with other than Marika and her team at Brown Butter. But when I tried to place the order, they were on vacation and returning the day of my party. I reached out and Marika said she had time to create my masterpiece as long as I could pick it up anytime after 1 p.m. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe it. When my guests saw it, they were stunned. We ALMOST didn’t want to cut it - it was so beautifully done. I had mentioned that my party was going to be at a vineyard, so the cake dressed for the occasion 🥰🥰 While there are so many flavor profiles to choose from, my absolute favorite at Brown Butter is their almond cupcake, so I chose that flavor for my cake and buttercream frosting. It was three layers of delicious magic. Thank you so much for being a part of my special day and for the exceptional customer service, the attention to detail, and for making my guests feel like they were a part of a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. I got their granola at the Eastside Farmers Market. I eat granola every day and I've never had one with such a perfect level of sweetness. I can taste each ingredient holistically and love that I know exactly what is in it. Certainly will be repurchasing!

I couldn’t be more impressed with Brown Butter Creations! This is my second custom cake from them and, once again, they absolutely nailed it. Both designs came out exactly how I envisioned, and the flavors were out of this world—especially the strawberry. Guests were going back for seconds (and thirds!) because they couldn’t get enough. Everyone was raving about how gorgeous and delicious these cakes were. On top of that, the staff was so friendly and incredibly helpful, which made the whole experience even better. Family from across the country met up in Connecticut to celebrate my son’s grad school graduation. I found Brown Butter Creations in a search for Hartford area bakeries and I couldn’t have found a better place to make a cake for the celebration. Communication through the online form and text was so easy. They even worked from an awful sketch I made, creating a beautiful cake that was described around the table as “the best red velvet I’ve ever had”, by several members of the family. Marika and staff are wonderful. For the next celebration we have in Connecticut, we’ll be back!
